GROUP OUTDOOR FITNESS CLASSES
Hear what our Bootcamp UK members say...Being 8 months post-partum, I was a bit nervous going into this bootcamp, but it turned out to be such a fun and enjoyable experience. The session was challenging but still really manageable, and I never felt out of place or pressured.
Andy was really nice and genuinely helpful. Before we even started, he took the time to ask about any health issues or injuries he should be aware of, which made me feel comfortable and supported straight away.
Overall, it was a great atmosphere, very welcoming, and something I’d definitely recommend — especially for anyone easing back into fitness post-partum but still wanting to enjoy themselves.

What to Expect
FAQs – Bootcamp UK Medway (Rainham Mark Grammar School)
Is Bootcamp UK Medway suitable for beginners?
Yes. A lot of people at Medway start after time off or with very little recent exercise. Andy sets up each circuit so you can start where you are and build up gradually, with easier and harder options for every station.
What should I bring?
Just the basics: trainers, comfortable workout clothes and a water bottle. A light layer (hoodie/jacket) is handy on cooler evenings at Rainham Mark, and gloves can help in winter.
Do you still train if it’s raining?
Yes – this is an outdoor bootcamp, and we run year‑round. In good conditions, we use the playing fields; in worse weather, we move onto the hardstanding by the car park. Andy will always adapt the session to keep it safe and manageable.
Do I need to book before I come?
Yes, please book in advance. It helps us manage numbers and means Andy knows to expect you. Most new members start with the 10 sessions for £10 intro offer, so they can try a few classes before deciding on a membership.
Is there parking at Rainham Mark Grammar School?
Yes. You can park in the main car park on the right as you enter the school, then walk over to the fields or hardstanding area. Aim to arrive 5–10 minutes early the first time, so you’ve got time to park and find the group.
How often should I come each week?
Most people feel their best when they train 2–3 times per week, but even once a week is a solid start while you build the habit and fit it around work and family.
I’m nervous about joining – what’s the vibe like?
Completely normal. Lots of people turn up on their own to Medway bootcamp. The group is relaxed and welcoming, and Andy will never put you on the spot – you’ll be shown what to do, encouraged to work at your own pace, and quickly feel part of the community.

- Creating a relaxed, non‑judgemental environment where you can work hard without feeling out of place
It feels more like a supportive training camp on the playing fields than a traditional gym workout.
“My first time at Bootcamp tonight, I was nervous about going alone but what a great friendly bunch. The exercise was well put together, good energy from the instructor, and I can feel DOMS coming on already. Really recommend and I will be coming back!” – Paulina, Medway

What a Medway bootcamp session is like

Outdoor Fitness Class
A typical Bootcamp UK Medway session at Rainham Mark lasts about 60 minutes and follows a clear structure:
- Warm‑up & mobility – gentle movement to raise your heart rate and prepare joints and muscles.
- Circuit training blocks – rotating stations that mix strength (squats, lunges, presses, rows, carries, core work) with cardio (runs, fast walks, step‑ups), sometimes using functional kit like tyres or ropes, in a straightforward boot camp circuit format.
- Coaching & technique help – Andy demos each exercise, offers easier and harder options, and keeps an eye on form so you move safely and effectively.
- Cool‑down & stretch – simple stretches and breathing to aid recovery and reduce soreness.
These Exercise classes are designed so the same circuit can feel like a gentle re‑start for some people and a tougher bootcamp fitness challenge for others, depending on how hard you choose to work.
In nicer weather you’ll be on the grass at the far side of the grounds; in winter you’ll be on the hardstanding by the car park so sessions can run in most conditions.
You train alongside the group for motivation, but you always work at your own pace.
Do I need to be fit before I start?
No. You don’t need a base level of fitness to join Bootcamp UK Medway. These are genuinely Beginner fitness classes as well as suitable for people who already train.
If you’re coming back after a break, post‑partum, or feel very unfit, Andy will:
- Help you choose lower‑impact options
- Encourage walking instead of running when needed
- Let you take rests whenever you need
Over time, you’ll build fitness and confidence at your own pace rather than being thrown in at the deep end.
What should I bring and wear?
Bring:
- Trainers
- Comfortable workout clothes
- Water bottle
Wear:
- Dress for the weather at Rainham Mark. A light layer or hoodie is useful on cooler evenings; gloves can help in winter.
- In wet conditions, wear something you don’t mind getting a bit muddy – it’s part of real outdoor training.
All equipment needed for the session is provided.

Will I be able to keep up?
Yes. Everyone works at their own pace, and every exercise in the circuit has easier and harder options. You can slow things down, take breaks and choose simpler versions of movements. Andy’s job is to coach and encourage you, not to single you out.
What if I don’t know anyone?
Completely normal – lots of people turn up on their own at first. The group at Medway is friendly and welcoming, and you’ll quickly feel part of the community. Many people find the social side of Group Classes and bootcamps – shared effort, encouragement and a regular routine – is what keeps them consistent.
Membership options – Single Park vs Multi Park
Alongside the intro offers, Bootcamp UK Medway has two main membership options:
Single Park Membership
- Unlimited sessions at Bootcamp UK Medway (Rainham Mark Grammar School)
- Best if you mainly train at one location each week and like a consistent routine with the same coaching team
Multi Park Membership
- Train across the wider Bootcamps UK network of bootcamps
- Ideal if you want the flexibility to attend different parks (for example, Medway some days and Bexleyheath or another Bootcamp UK location on others)
Both memberships include coached fitness boot camp UK style sessions and structured Bootcamp training. The difference is how flexible you want your locations to be.
How to book your first Medway session
Booking is simple:
- Choose your intro offer (10 for £10, 10 for £16 or £29.99 unlimited) on the Medway page.
- Create or log into your account and pick your first session from the timetable at Rainham Mark.
- Arrive 5–10 minutes early so Andy can meet you, check in with any injuries and explain how to scale the exercises.
You don’t need to feel fit or confident to start – you build those by showing up. Bootcamp UK Medway is here to make that first step into bootcamp fitness, outdoor fitness and a sustainable routine feel manageable, not overwhelming.
