GROUP OUTDOOR FITNESS CLASSES
Hear what our Bootcamp UK Wirral members say...You can work at your own pace or compete with your friends. It’s totally up to you, the equipment is fantastic and always varied. I never thought id ever be squatting with a beer barrell on my back, or running round a field with a sandbag on my shoulders and actually love it!! The bcuk instructors totally support you and are there, in my opinion, because they love seeing us achieve our goals and are bloody good at their jobs. I’ve lost weight, toned up, got fit, achieved goals I never knew I could.. and made some amazing friends!!!
I’ve been attending for 4 years now and will continue for the foreseeable!!
I Highly recommend BCUK and I know that everyone is gonna love John.

What to Expect
FAQs – Bootcamp UK Wirral (Sacred Heart Primary School)
Is Bootcamp UK Wirral suitable for beginners?
Yes. Lots of people at Wirral Bootcamp start after years of doing very little. John sets up each circuit with easier and harder versions of every exercise, so you can work at your own pace and build up gradually as your fitness improves.
What should I bring?
Bring trainers, comfortable workout clothes, and a bottle of water. A light layer (hoodie or jacket) is handy on cooler evenings at Sacred Heart, and gloves can help in winter.
Do you still train if it’s raining?
Yes – this is an outdoor bootcamp, and we run all year. If the field is too wet, John will adjust where and how you train to keep things safe and practical. You might pick up a bit of mud, but most people say that’s part of the fun.
Do I need to book before I come along?
Yes, please book in advance. It helps us manage numbers, and it means John knows to expect you. Most new members start with the 10 sessions for £10 intro offer so they can try a few sessions before choosing a membership.
Is there parking near the school?
Yes. You can park in the staff car park at Sacred Heart or on Danger Lane, then walk over to the field on the right-hand side of the school as you look at it from the road. Aim to arrive 5–10 minutes early the first time so you’ve got time to park and find the group.
How often should I come each week?
Most members feel their best training 2–3 times per week, but even one session a week is a good start while you get used to the workouts and fit them around work and family.
I’m nervous about joining a group – what’s it actually like?
Completely normal. Many people turn up to Wirral Bootcamp on their own for the first time. The group is friendly and down‑to‑earth, and John is very welcoming – you won’t be put on the spot. You’ll be shown what to do, encouraged to work at your level, and quickly feel part of the team.

What a Bootcamp UK Wirral session is like
A typical Bootcamp UK Wirral session at Sacred Heart lasts about 60 minutes and follows a clear structure:
- Warm‑up & mobility – gentle movement to raise your heart rate and prepare joints and muscles.
- Circuit training blocks – rotating stations that mix strength (squats, lunges, presses, rows, core work) with cardio (short runs, fast walks, step‑ups) in a straightforward boot camp / circuit format on the school field.
- Coaching & technique help – John demonstrates each exercise, offers easier and harder options, and keeps an eye on form so you move safely and effectively.
- Cool‑down & stretch – simple stretches and breathing to aid recovery and reduce soreness.
These Exercise classes and fitness sessions use simple movements and clear instructions so you always know what you’re doing. The same circuit can feel like a gentle re‑start for some people and a tougher bootcamp fitness challenge for others, depending on how hard you choose to work. You train alongside the group for motivation, but you always work at your own pace.
Do I need to be fit before I start?
No. You don’t need a base level of fitness to join Bootcamp UK Wirral. These are genuinely Beginner fitness classes as well as suitable for people who already train.
If you’re coming back after a break or feel very unfit, John will:
- Help you choose lower‑impact options
- Encourage walking instead of running when needed
- Let you take rests whenever you need
You’ll build fitness and confidence at your own pace rather than being thrown straight in at the deep end.

What should I bring and wear?
Bring:
- Trainers
- Comfortable workout clothes
- Water bottle
Wear:
- Dress for the weather at Sacred Heart. A light layer or hoodie is useful on cooler evenings; gloves can help in winter.
- In wet conditions, wear something you don’t mind getting a bit muddy – it’s part of real outdoor exercise classes and outdoor bootcamp training.
All equipment needed for the session is provided.
Will I be able to keep up?
Yes. Everyone works at their own pace, and every exercise in the circuit has easier and harder options. You can slow things down, take extra breaks and choose simpler versions of movements. John’s role is to coach and encourage you, not to single you out. You’ll be challenged appropriately, but not pushed beyond what’s safe or sensible.
What if I don’t know anyone?
Completely normal – lots of people turn up on their own at first. The group at Wirral is friendly and welcoming, and you’ll quickly feel part of the community. Many people find the social side of Group Classes and bootcamps – shared effort, encouragement and a regular routine – is what keeps them consistent.
Membership options – Single Park vs Multi Park
Alongside the intro offers, Bootcamp UK Wirral has two main membership options:
Single Park Membership
- Unlimited sessions at Bootcamp UK Wirral (Sacred Heart Primary School)
- Best if you mainly train at one location each week and like a consistent routine with the same coaching team
Multi Park Membership
- Train across the wider Bootcamps UK network of bootcamps
- Ideal if you want the flexibility to attend different parks (for example, Wirral some days and another Bootcamp UK location near work or home on others)
Both memberships include coached fitness boot camp UK style sessions and structured Bootcamp training. The difference is how flexible you want your locations to be.
How to book your first Wirral session
Booking is simple:
- Choose your intro offer (10 for £10, 10 for £16, or £29.99 unlimited) on the Wirral page.
- Create or log in to your account and pick your first session from the Sacred Heart timetable.
- Arrive 5–10 minutes early so John can meet you, check in with any injuries, and explain how to scale the exercises.
You don’t need to feel fit or confident to start – you build those by showing up. Bootcamp UK Wirral is here to make that first step into bootcamp fitness, outdoor fitness, and a sustainable routine feel manageable, not overwhelming.
