FAQs – Bootcamp UK Sevenoaks (Knole Academy)
Is Bootcamp UK Sevenoaks suitable for beginners?
Yes. Sessions are genuinely mixed‑ability. Charley designs each class so you can start from your current fitness level and build up gradually, with easier and harder options for every exercise.
What should I bring?
Wear comfortable workout clothes and trainers, and bring a water bottle. A light layer (hoodie/jacket) is useful on cooler evenings, and gloves can help in winter.
Do you train in the rain?
Yes – we train outdoors year‑round. In summer, we’re on the field next to the 3G pitch; in winter, we move under the canopy by the sports reception. If the weather’s rough, Charley adapts the session to keep it safe and manageable.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, please book before you come. It keeps numbers sensible and makes your first visit smoother. Most new members start with the 10 sessions for £10 intro offer to try Bootcamp UK Sevenoaks before choosing a membership.

Is there parking nearby?
Yes. You can park in either the main or upper car park at Knole Academy and walk a short distance to the meeting point. Aim to arrive a few minutes early the first time so you can park, find the group and meet Charley.
How often should I come each week?
Most members see the best results with 2–3 sessions per week, but even once a week is a great start while you build the habit.
I’m nervous about joining – what’s the vibe like?
Completely normal. Lots of people turn up on their own at first. The group at Sevenoaks is friendly and welcoming, and Charley makes sure you’re never singled out – you’ll be guided, encouraged and quickly feel part of the community.

Your coach – Charley Ashton
Sessions at Knole Academy are led by Charley Ashton, a Level 3 fitness instructor with 10 years’ experience in the fitness industry and a background in competitive swimming. Charley owns Bootcamp UK Sevenoaks and Bootcamp UK Maidstone and has built a strong local community around both.
Charley loves training clients who want to:
- Learn new skills
- Work hard and show enthusiasm
- Have fun with big tunes and a high‑energy vibe
Her favourite sessions to teach are fast‑paced, high‑energy classes with a “mega vibe” – but always with options so beginners and regulars can train side by side safely.
“My husband kick‑started my Bootcamp journey with the taster sessions and I’m now a fully fledged regular member. I’m achieving my goals of getting fitter and firmer, and didn’t expect the confidence and camaraderie from being part of this team. Charley is fantastic and has challenged me in just the right way – can’t recommend highly enough.” – Katie, Sevenoaks

What a Sevenoaks bootcamp session is like
A typical Bootcamp UK Sevenoaks session at Knole Academy lasts around 60 minutes and follows a clear structure:
- Warm‑up & mobility – gentle movement to raise your heart rate and prepare joints and muscles.
- Circuit training blocks – rotating stations that mix strength (squats, lunges, presses, rows, core work) with cardio (short runs, fast walks, step‑ups) in a straightforward boot camp / circuit format.
- Coaching & technique help – Charley demonstrates each exercise, offers easier and harder options, and keeps an eye on form so you move well and avoid unnecessary niggles.
- Cool‑down & stretch – easy stretches and breathing to aid recovery and reduce soreness.
In summer, you’ll be on the field by the 3G pitch; in winter, you’ll be under cover on the patio by the sports reception – so sessions can run in most weather.
You train alongside the group for motivation, but you always work at your own pace.

Do I need to be fit before I start?
No. You don’t need a base level of fitness to join Bootcamp UK Sevenoaks. These are genuinely beginner‑friendly classes as well as suitable for people who already train.
If you’re coming back after a break or feel very unfit, Charley will:
- Help you pick lower‑impact options
- Encourage walking instead of running when needed
- Let you take a rest whenever you need
Over time, you’ll build fitness and confidence at your own pace.
What should I bring and wear?
Bring:
- Trainers
- Comfortable workout clothes
- Water bottle
Wear:
- Dress for the weather at Knole Academy. A light layer or hoodie is useful, and in colder months, gloves can help.
- In wet conditions, wear something you don’t mind getting a bit muddy – it’s part of real outdoor group training.
Any equipment used in the session is provided.
Will I be able to keep up?
Yes. Everyone works at their own pace, and every exercise in the circuit has easier and harder options. You can slow things down, take extra breaks and choose simpler versions of movements. Charley’s job is to guide and encourage you, not to single you out.
What if I don’t know anyone?
Completely normal – lots of people turn up on their own at first. The group at Sevenoaks is friendly and welcoming, and you’ll quickly feel part of the community. Many people find the social side of group classes and bootcamps – shared goals, big tunes, high‑energy sessions – is what keeps them consistent.

Membership options – Single Park vs Multi Park
Alongside the intro offers, Bootcamp UK Sevenoaks has two main membership options:
Single Park Membership
- Unlimited sessions at Bootcamp UK Sevenoaks (Knole Academy)
- Best if you mainly train at one location each week and like a consistent routine with the same coaching team
Multi Park Membership
- Train across the wider Bootcamps UK network of bootcamps
- Ideal if you want the flexibility to attend different parks (for example, Sevenoaks some days and Maidstone or another Bootcamp UK location on others)
Both memberships include the same coached fitness boot camp‑style sessions and structured bootcamp training. The difference is how flexible you want your locations to be.
You don’t need to feel fit or confident to start – you build those by showing up. Bootcamp UK Sevenoaks is here to make that first step into outdoor fitness and a sustainable routine feel manageable, not overwhelming.
