FAQs – Bootcamp UK Gosport
Is Bootcamp UK Gosport suitable for beginners?
Yes. Our Bootcamp UK Gosport sessions are mixed‑ability and ideal as beginner fitness classes. Every exercise in the bootcamp fitness circuit has easier and harder options, so you can work at your own pace.
What should I bring?
Just the basics: trainers, comfortable workout clothes and a bottle of water. For evening group classes, a light layer (hoodie or jacket) helps until you warm up.
Do you train in the rain?
Yes – this is an outdoor boot camp. We train year‑round and simply adapt the session to keep things safe if the weather turns rough.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes, please. Booking keeps numbers sensible and makes your first visit smoother. Most new members start with the 10 sessions for £10 intro offer to try our exercise classes before choosing a membership.
Is there parking nearby?
Usually yes, within a short walk of the meeting point. Aim to arrive a few minutes early the first time so you can park, find the group and chat to the coach.
How often should I come each week?
Most people see the best results with 2–3 Bootcamp training sessions per week, but even once a week is a solid start while you build the habit.
I’m nervous about joining – what’s it like?
Completely normal. Our Group Classes feel more like a friendly training camp than a drill session. The coach explains the circuit training, gives options for every level, and the group is welcoming – you won’t be singled out, just supported.
Do I need to be fit to join Bootcamp UK Gosport?
No. Many people start Bootcamp UK Gosport after a long break from exercise. The sessions are mixed‑ability, and every station in the circuit has easier and harder options. You can walk instead of running, choose low‑impact movements and take rests whenever you need them. Over time, you’ll build fitness and confidence at your own pace.
How do I book – and what if my plans change?
You book your Bootcamp UK Gosport sessions online through our booking system. Once you’ve bought an intro offer or membership, simply log in, choose your dates and reserve your spots. If something comes up, you can usually cancel up to shortly before the class starts, freeing the space for someone else. That flexibility is one of the reasons our group classes work well for busy schedules.

Bootcamp UK Gosport – coached outdoor bootcamp in your local park
Bootcamp UK Gosport is part of the national Bootcamp UK (BCUK) UK bootcamp network, running coached outdoor bootcamp and circuit‑style group classes in one of Gosport’s main green spaces near the seafront. You’re outside on the grass, not stuck under strip‑lights and mirrors. Sessions are structured but relaxed, with a clear plan every time you turn up, so you’re never guessing what to do.
We focus on straightforward, effective bootcamp fitness: strength, cardio and core work in a friendly group, led by a coach who makes sure everything is safe, scalable and suitable for all levels.
Your coach – Dan Turner
Bootcamp UK Gosport sessions are led by Dan Turner, an ex‑British Army physical training instructor with 14+ years of coaching experience in and out of the military. Dan is Level 3 qualified, fully insured and first‑aid trained.
He’s spent years running mixed‑ability Exercise classes and bootcamp training outdoors, helping everyone from complete beginners to fitter members train safely and effectively. In each session, Dan will:
- Demonstrate every exercise clearly
- Offer easier and harder options for every movement
- Keep an eye on technique so you move well and avoid unnecessary niggles
- Help nervous beginners feel comfortable while still challenging regulars
It feels more like a supportive training camp in the park than the old‑school “shouty” boot camp stereotype.
“I joined Bootcamp UK Gosport after years of doing nothing. I was terrified I’d be the slowest, but Dan made it easy to go at my pace. Now I train twice a week and actually look forward to Monday nights.” – Emma, Gosport

Membership options – Single Park vs Multi Park
Once you’ve used your intro sessions and know Bootcamp UK Gosport is for you, you can choose between two main memberships:
Single Park Membership
Unlimited sessions at Bootcamp UK Gosport. Best if you live or work nearby and want a simple weekly routine with the same timetable, meeting point and coaching team.
Multi Park Membership
Train across all Bootcamps UK locations. Ideal if you commute, travel, work shifts or like variety. You get the flexibility to drop into any participating park while keeping the structure of coached group classes and outdoor exercise classes.
Both memberships include the same coached boot camp uk style training; the difference is how flexible you want your locations to be.
What a Gosport session is like
Most people arrive a bit nervous the first time and leave thinking, “that was tough but actually doable.”
A typical Bootcamp UK Gosport session (about 60 minutes) looks like this:
- Warm‑up & mobility – gentle movements to raise your heart rate and prepare joints and muscles.
- Circuit training blocks – rotating stations mixing strength and cardio: squats, lunges, presses, rows, carries, core work and simple cardio (runs, fast walks, step‑ups). Some stations use the natural slope or open space in the park to keep things interesting.
- Coaching & technique cues – Dan explains each station, shows regressions and progressions, and keeps an eye on form.
- Cool‑down & stretch – easy stretches and breathing to help recovery and reduce soreness.
You train with the group for motivation, but you always work at your own pace.

Circuit training – why we use it in Gosport
Our Gosport sessions mostly follow a Circuit training format because it:
- Gives you a full‑body workout in a short time
- Is easy to scale for beginners and fitter members together
- Keeps sessions engaging with different stations and intervals
- Allows Dan to watch technique and adjust on the fly
You’ll spend a set time at each station (for example, 40 seconds work / 20 seconds rest), then move on. Once you’ve done all stations, you repeat the loop 2–4 times. It’s a proven structure for bootcamp fitness and outdoor Exercise classes that works really well in an open park like Gosport’s.
Is Bootcamp UK Gosport right for me?
It’s a good fit if you:
- Want coached Beginner fitness classes that can get tougher as you improve
- Prefer straightforward outdoor exercise classes to complicated gym routines
- Like the idea of training with others but still working at your own pace, with sea air and open space instead of mirrors and machines
It might not be ideal if you:
- Need one‑to‑one rehab or specialist clinical guidance (speak to a physio/clinician first)
- Only want long, machine‑based gym workouts – Bootcamp uk is more about bodyweight and functional movement in the park
Ready to get started?
The easiest way to begin is with the 10 sessions for £10 intro offer. Book online, pick your first Gosport session from the timetable, and arrive 5–10 minutes early so Dan can meet you, explain the plan and show you how to scale each exercise.
You don’t need to be fit to start – you get fit by starting. Bootcamp UK Gosport is here to make that first step into bootcamp training and outdoor fitness feel manageable, not overwhelming.
