FAQs About Bootcamp UK Winchester
Is Bootcamp UK Winchester suitable for beginners?
Yes. Bootcamp UK Winchester is suitable for beginners, returning exercisers, and people who already train regularly. Every session includes easier and harder options, so you can work at a level that feels right for you. Your Winchester instructor, Dan Moody, will guide you through the exercises and help you train safely from your first session.
Where do the Winchester bootcamp sessions take place?
Our Winchester bootcamp sessions take place at Gordon Road sports fields, Winchester, SO23 7DD, just behind the tennis courts and next to River Park Leisure Center. The location is easy to reach from Winchester city center and surrounding areas, with ample free parking available nearby.
When are the Winchester sessions?
Bootcamp UK Winchester sessions run every Tuesday and Thursday from 19:00–20:00, and every Sunday from 09:00–10:00. The weekday evening sessions are ideal if you want to train after work, while the Sunday morning session is a great way to start the weekend.
What should I bring to my first bootcamp session?
Please bring trainers, comfortable workout clothes, and a water bottle. As sessions take place outdoors at Gordon Road sports fields, it is also worth bringing a light layer, such as a hoodie or jacket, especially for cooler evenings.
Do you train in the rain?
Yes. We train outdoors year-round, including in the rain. If the weather is rough, your Winchester instructor will adapt the session to keep it safe, practical, and suitable for the conditions. Outdoor training is part of what makes bootcamp different from a standard gym session.
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes. Booking in advance helps make your first session smoother and ensures we know to expect you. New members can get started with the 10 sessions for £10 intro offer, which is a simple way to try Bootcamp UK Winchester and see if it is right for you.
Is there parking at Gordon Road sports fields?
Yes, there is ample free parking available at Gordon Road sports fields. If it is your first time attending, we recommend arriving a few minutes early so you can park, find the meeting point behind the tennis courts, and get settled before the session starts.
How often should I come each week?
Most members see the best results from attending 2–3 sessions per week, but even once a week is a great start. Consistency matters more than perfection, and Bootcamp UK Winchester gives you the structure, variety, and support to build a routine that works for you.
I’m nervous about joining. What is the group like?
That is completely normal. Many people feel nervous before their first bootcamp session, especially if they are new to group fitness or haven’t exercised in a while. The Winchester group is friendly, welcoming, and supportive, and you will never be singled out. You will be encouraged, coached, and given options to train at your own pace.
Why choose Bootcamp UK Winchester instead of a gym?
Bootcamp UK Winchester gives you something a standard gym often does not: structure, accountability, outdoor training, and a supportive local community. You do not need to plan your own workout or train alone indoors. Each session is coached, varied and designed to keep you motivated, helping you build fitness while training with other local members.

- 10 sessions for £16 (valid 12 weeks) — same number of sessions with more breathing room. Good for people with unpredictable weeks, travel, or childcare obligations.
- £29.99 unlimited for 3 months — best value for frequent training (2–4+ sessions/week). Treat three months like a focused training camp block to build habits and progress quickly.
Single Park vs Multi Park — which membership?
Single Park Membership — unlimited sessions at Bootcamp UK Winchester (same timetable and coaching team). Best for people who want a simple local routine.
Multi Park Membership — train across all Bootcamp UK parks. Ideal for commuters, travelers, or those who like variety while keeping the structure of coached outdoor fitness classes.
What your first Bootcamp UK Winchester session is like
Most first‑timers arrive nervous and leave thinking it was achievable. A typical 60‑minute session follows a clear plan:
- Warm‑up & mobility (10 mins) — dynamic prep to protect joints and prime muscles.
- Circuit training blocks (30–40 mins) — rotating stations mixing strength and cardio (squats, lunges, press-ups, rows, carries, step-ups, short runs).
- Coaching & technique cues (throughout) — coaches demonstrate, correct form, and offer easier/harder options.
- Cool‑down & stretch (5–10 mins) — recovery work to reduce soreness and aid mobility.
Everything is scalable: beginners get low‑impact options; regulars can increase intensity. Our coaches focus on safe progress and consistent attendance rather than “beasting” you once.

What is a circuit class — how it works for beginners and fitter people
Circuit training breaks the session into stations. You spend a set time at each station, rotate, and repeat the loop for multiple rounds. This format:
- Keeps variety high and sessions efficient
- Is easy to scale — simpler options for beginners, advanced variations for fitter members
- Allows coaches to supervise technique and adjust load per person
Is Bootcamp UK Winchester suitable for beginners?
Yes. Our Beginner fitness classes and bootcamp sessions are mixed‑ability by design. You can walk instead of run, choose low‑impact versions, and take rests as needed. If you have medical concerns, tell the coach before the session — most exercises can be adapted.
